Almost human - the new album

He spent the first few dark winter months of this strange new existence holed up in the mountains designing and tailoring his costume. He snowboarded by day and parTAYed by night. He played the finest cuts for the finest snow-loving mountain folk, under the watchful eyes and kind supervision of village elders Mick Niner, Posh John and Marco Tagliatelle. He ate good food and drank cheap wine, thus gathering his strength. He did a bit of production work, but not nearly enough. So he went to Hossegor for the summer, where he really did get his shirt together, surfing his little ass off and producing the hell out of everything he saw.

Since those formative days, irk has taken the time to develop his musical skills and style, honing his production technique, collaborating with rappers, singers, DJs, musicians and graphic artists - battling and breaking with the best of them. He's DJed his way around France and the UK, and continues to forge his identity as a superduper DJ/producer chap who just happens to have a sneaky little obsession for all things board-related. And he does have some sweet-ass records.

So why not go ahead and download a few tunes, come to a few gigs, shake a few tail-feathers? Then you'll see just how much good clean fun this act is - honestly, it's enough to renew your faith in music. (Check out his mix compilations in the IRK Shop if you need convincing.) He's just one more guy with a passion for making and playing genuinely awesome music, doing his utmost to maintain a level of musical integrity that is rare indeed in today's hyper-commercial culture... just one more guy struggling against a rising tide of booty-pounding, gangsta-pap, sexist, hip, pop, drip, slop, rubbish.

All support is gratefully received and respectfully acknowledged. If you have the means and you appreciate the plot and the soundtrack, then why not make a purchase or two? Seriously, else we'll run out of beans and have to go wash more dishes. Many thanks to all those who've contributed to the cause, whether financially, artistically, or, in particular, morally. Cheers to one and all.
