Ride and Seek

Premier of the worlds most funniest snowboard contest: the Ride and Seek- a mix between a pro session on Wednesday, a funny boardercross with a water splash as finish line on Thursday, the pro-am-team-up session and massive parties on Friday. Especially the final party with the Wax Wreckas at the Ride and Seek terrace was amazing and the whole week left a lot of pleasure on every competitors face.

Wedneday: During the competition loads of awards were given away. Gary Greenshield, UK rider won the best trick award with a superstylish double backflip. Local riders Rudi Kröll and Mario Wanger battled for the best rider award. In the end it was Mario Wanger, who decided the battle for him. Rudi won a price as well, namely the best rail trick award with a half cab 50 50 to bs 18 out. Also a couple of pro girls joined the competition, best of the ladies was Jade McJannet. 

Thursday: The funny boardercross was on, 36 competitors- snowboarders, snowbombers, party people, skiers, everyone- were invited to join the race.
In the end Steve Kröll won the boardercross in the snowboard competion and Mike Hauser won the acutely upcoming skicross comp. The Old lady, Alex from New Zealand, did a good job too, we have to say from the entertaining point of view. After the comp Jon Weaver had a bottle of snaps in his hand and announced a swimming race. Two guys were up for it and swam through the ice cold water of the swimming pool aka the water splash obstacle. 

Friday: After a pretty funny cash-give-away session at the bottom of the Vans Penken Park the pros teamed up with some volunteered snowbombers and performed together with them at the small obstacle. We witnessed some synchrone backside airs, frontflips, backflips and some new trick creations. The competition was followed by a massive party with the Wax Wreckaz and the Banterbox Showmasters Henry and Jon at the Ride and Seek terrace (Grillhofalm). 

Big thanks to the Snowbombing crew, specially Jou, Tamara and Alex for the perfect support. The last parties were amazing, DJ Yoda, De la Soul, and Fatboy Slim at the Waldfestplatz.
